Do you believe your account size decides everything?

For a long time, that was mostly true.

But the prop firm model has changed the conversation.

Now anyone can work toward funded accounts where the firm provides the capital… and the trader focuses on… well… trading!

That doesn’t mean it’s easy.

And it doesn’t mean there’s no risk.

But there’s a real possibility of trading a $50,000 account without using your own money.

Here’s how:

If futures trading has felt out of reach because of account size, you should see this.

Good Trading,

Debt Snowball vs. Avalanche: Which Strategy Actually Crushes Your Debt Faster?

Carrying high-interest debt feels like running on a treadmill that keeps speeding up. Two popular payoff methods—the debt snowball and the debt avalanche—offer structured ways off. Choosing the right one depends on both mathematics and psychology.

The debt avalanche targets the highest interest rate first while making minimum payments on everything else. Once the costliest debt is gone, you roll that payment into the next-highest rate. Pure math favors this approach: you pay less interest overall and finish faster if you stick with it. Credit cards at 22% APR should be eliminated before a student loan at 6%, regardless of balance size.

The debt snowball ranks debts by balance, smallest to largest, ignoring interest rates. You attack the tiniest balance first. Each time you wipe out a debt, you gain a quick win and free up cash flow for the next target. Behavioral research shows these early victories build momentum and reduce the chance of quitting. Many people who start with the avalanche abandon the plan when progress feels invisible; the snowball keeps motivation high.

Which works better? If you are highly disciplined and the interest-rate differences are large, the avalanche saves more money. If past attempts have failed because motivation faded, the snowball often produces better real-world results. Hybrid approaches exist: knock out one or two small balances for psychological fuel, then switch to the highest-rate remaining debts.

Regardless of method, success requires a written list of every debt—balance, interest rate, and minimum payment—plus a realistic monthly amount you can put toward extra principal. Cut non-essential spending, negotiate lower rates where possible, and avoid new debt while paying off the old. Track progress monthly; visible reduction reinforces the habit.

Neither strategy works if you continue adding to the balances. Stop the inflow first. Then pick the method that matches your personality, commit fully, and treat every extra dollar as a weapon against interest. Freedom from high-interest debt is one of the highest-return “investments” available.
